Fun Day for Disabled Children

We would like to recruit some young volunteers to help us with our Family Fun Days on Saturday 12^thth March February and Saturday 12.

The events are being run as part of the Aiming High for Disabled Children programme. We are inviting families from across the county who have disabled children to come and enjoy a range of different activities and games. The locations are as follows;

Pond Meadow School, Guildford on Saturday 12 February

Woodfields School, Merstham (near Redhill) on Saturday 12 March.

Please consider whether or not you are able to travel to either Guildford or Merstham before you click on 'I'd like to do This' (the blue button above, visible if you have logged into the site).

You would only need to come along to one of this, but you would also be welcome to come to both if you are available!

As well as helping to show families around and giving out information packs, there will be a range of workshops and activities that volunteers could help out with, including, sports (Football & Boccia); Chinese arts, crafts and music; a mobile petting farm; entertainer Bala Bash; face painting - to name but a few.

400 people came to the last Family Fun Day, so this is going to be BIG!

So, if you're after a quick shot of volunteering, then why not give up a few hours to make this event happen! This is most definitely an event to do with some friends! It is also an opportunity for you to find out more about working with children and young people with and without disabilities.
