Street Games

StreetGames is the only national charity dedicated to developing sport with disadvantaged communities. Our network of over one hundred projects deliver ‘ doorstep sport’  - sport at a time, in a place, in a style and at a price that suits the needs of young people living in areas with limited access to sport.

Our youth volunteering programme, The Co-operative StreetGames Young Volunteers, provides opportunities for young people to volunteer and support sport in their local communities. The programme also encourages young people to gain sporting and personal development awards as well as volunteering at high profile national events like the Great North Run and the national Cheerleading Championships.  We often grow and develop the skills of volunteers from participants within our local projects, enabling young people to have more of a say in what is provided for them. Projects generally recruit volunteers at a local level through word of mouth although some volunteers come through online applications.
