Football Unites, Racism Divides (FURD)

Football activity is and has always been central to FURD. FURD run regular football coaching sessions take place at the Sheffield United FC (SUFC) academy. Holiday coaching sessions (particularly during the summer) take place in various parks and green spaces around the city. FURD help to run and support a number of senior, junior and small sided football teams around the city – many of whom have large numbers of BME members. FURD also run and/or support regular football tournaments for young people of varying ages.

The project runs a coach development programme that seeks to develop young volunteers as coaches.
