The Rural Areas Play Project (RAPP)
The RAPP Van is a mobile play scheme providing activities for children aged 0-16 years. Every holiday (except Christmas) for the past four years, the RAPP (Rural Areas Play Project) van has been visiting rural villages and schools around East Hampshire.
The RAPP Van is loaded with lots of toys, equipment and activities for children to enjoy and play with. Activities on offer include trike riding and mini tractors, pool tables, dolls houses, dressing up, table football and arts and crafts.
Alongside these activities children can also take part in workshops run by professional coaches and instructors for basketball, dance, drumming and pottery painting etc.
Qualified playwork staff run these sessions. There are two play sessions per day, each lasting 1hour 55 minutes. Children need to be signed in and out by their parents or carers. Children under 8 years old are to be accompanied by their parent / carer.
