Hampshire Chlamydia Screening Team

We are a team of fun loving NHS nurses and support staff who works to promote health and wellbeing of young people ages 15 to 24 years. This involves going to any Hampshire community based events where young people hang out, talking to them about looking after their sexual health and encouraging them to take part in Chlamydia testing. The team gain consent and then explain to the young people all they need to do to complete the test. Chlamydia is usually invisible (no symptoms) serious, can cause long term health problems (e.g. infertility for male and female) and is easily spread - so we believe is everyone’s business!
