African Women of Substance

African Women of Substance is a registered charity that provides a range of services to African women and families in and around Wolverhampton. Our main aim is to facilitate the integration of and full participation of African Women into the community. The organisation has developed various strands like planning community events to share cultural skills such as dance, drama, fashion and crafts, supporting women into employment, education or other pathways. The group also operates as a social entity where women from diverse backgrounds are provided with the opportunity to meet new people, make friends, and practice conversational English.
