Feedback from young people:

I would definitely recommend the Summer of a Lifetime project to other young people because you learn new skills and have a really good time throughout the summer, and it was all free. I have just started my A-levels and will definitely be looking to continue volunteering in the future. Thank you for the opportunity to be involved this summer." Cassandra, Blackburn

"This has to be the BEST SUMMER EVER! It’s been so much fun and a great laugh I’ve learnt so much and learning sign language was really fun and I never thought I would of been able to learn that in a short time! I have made loads of new friends and have improved my skills. I think everyone who didn’t take part in this programme has missed out on a great summer! THANK YOU!” Sarah-Anne, Tyneside

Feedback from parents:

My son has spent two and a half years in hospital and in that time lost confidence and contact with friends. I was worried he would not  enjoy this Summer of a lifetime, but what a change I have seen in him, his confidence, his development and the friendships he has made, I am so proud and pleased for him. Thank you so much for the opportunity you have given him, and thanks to the staff and volunteers.” Participant’s mum
Thanks for giving my daughter a wonderful experience; she really did have a summer of a lifetime.” Parent, London
