More info
Bristol Libraries are looking for enthusiastic young people to volunteer in libraries across the city as part of a friendly team helping with the running of Creepy House, the national Summer Reading Challenge for children.
Volunteers will spend their time:
-
encouraging children to join Creepy House
-
handing out rewards & incentives
-
talking to children about what they are reading and suggesting new books
-
helping to plan, promote and run children's activities.
You will not be asked to work on the library desk or help with regular tasks such as shelving.
This is a great opportunity to develop your communication skills, meet new people, gain valuable work experience and make a positive contribution to your community.
Training will be provided and bus fares can be paid.
Volunteers must be able to attend an interview, provide 2 references and come along to the training session on Monday 8th July.
