Receptionist in Pharmacy Volunteer Role Description Summary: The main purpose of the role is to assist in the busy dispensary and establish a friendly helpful welcome to visitors to the department The pharmacy opening hours are Monday to Friday: 0830 to 1800 and limited Saturday service. The working hours for the volunteer would be Monday to Friday: 1000 to 1730 Key Tasks: · Acting as a contact point, welcoming visitors at the dispensary reception · Receiving and logging prescriptions handed in at the dispensary reception · Answering telephone calls regarding collecting of prescriptions from ward nurses and parents · Directing telephone calls to the relevant staff within the pharmacy department · Assisting in replenishing of dispensary sundries e.g. pharmacy bags, measures for medicines · Providing basic administrative duties · Participating in the weekly dispensary team meetings Desired Skills and Experience: · Customer services experience · Friendly approachable personality · Experience of working in a busy service environment · Methodical and organised · Sensitive and tactful nature · Ability to work on own initiative We will provide: Supervision · Supervision & ongoing support will be provided by the dispensary team leader Training · Induction to GOSH · Local induction within pharmacy department · On-going up-dates and information Expenses · Reimbursement of travel expenses · A meal voucher References · As requested
