Volunteer Opportunity Title: Backstage Runner, London

Time Commitment:

Attending an induction session at the vInspired offices in London Working during the day and evening of Thursday March 22nd 2012 (the date of the National Awards)

Able to be in London during the day of Thursday March 22nd and help out at the venue until midnight

Age Specification: 18-25

Travel and Expenses: We will provide travel, accommodation and basic expenses for volunteers living outside of London.

Runners Role and Responsibilities:

•  You will assist with the set-up and take-down of the vInspired National Awards venue.
• This will mean being there on the day and evening of the event to ensure that everything is going to plan and everything is set up ready for the arrival of guests. This support will be on-going throughout the evening.
• Assist behind the scenes during the ceremony as a runner
•  Ensure that presenters and performers are called to the stage at the correct time
•  Moving and arranging props
•  Assist the production team to ensure that backstage is tidy and well organised
•  Relay messages to presenters/performers/production team
• Alert vInspired staff to any problems or issues
• Throughout the evening, the volunteer will be a representative of vInspired, and therefore will need to know the basic key messages and aims of the organisation, and will need to behave responsibly and respectfully
