                                    Volunteer Role Specification

Volunteer Opportunity Title: Polaroid Photographer, London

Time Commitment:

Attending an induction session at the vInspired offices in London

Working during the day and evening of Thursday March 22nd 2012 (the date of the National Awards)

Able to be in London for the day of Thursday March 22nd and help out at the venue until midnight

Age Specification: 18-25

Travel and Expenses: We will provide travel, accommodation and basic expenses for volunteers living outside of London.

Role and Responsibilities:

You will be part of the team welcoming people in the reception area, and will encourage them to have their picture taken. You will operate the camera and ensure that people get great shots to take away with them.

Responsibilities include:

• Meeting and greeting guests in the reception area
• You will be taking Polaroid photos of guests as they arrive
• Ensuring guests get their photos to take away with them
• Acting promptly to ensure there is not a long queue for the photos to be taken
• Take roving shots of the event as it unfolds
• Adding to the guests’ experience of the event

Skills and qualities:

• Great communication skills 
• Confident to speak to new people
• Good team-worker but capable of taking initiative and working alone
• Outgoing
• Creative
• A clear understanding of vInspired’s brand and key messages and aims
• Reliability
• Ability to cope under pressure
• Good photography skills
• Enthusiasm
• Adaptability
