Each year the Rochdale Canal Festival sees thousands of visitors enjoying a week jam-packed full of free activities along the Rochdale canal. Activities include guided walks, bike rides, canoe taster sessions, boat rides, wildlife workshops, art and photographic competitions, towpath tidying and much more. We really need a committed events volunteer to help make the best year yet so if you have the enthusiasm and some experience of events management then this is a great project for you. You will also be responsible for coordinating and promoting an exciting new project; the Rochdale Canal Relay. Your tasks will include: - Assisting the Development Manager with all aspects of the planning and delivery of the Festival – Working with a range of local organisations and members of the public / local community to organise activities -Supporting the production of a range of promotional materials - Working on and distributing press releases - Researching and booking activities -
