  • More info

The Wild over Water team teach children to safely explore the canals and rivers of Britain through resources and activities, many of which are delivered in schools. Demand for these activities from primary schools is high so we need outgoing volunteers to promote to and make bookings with schools and deliver activities to classes which would include walks along the towpath to learn about their history and environment and workshops in school on topics such as water safety, habitats and waterways at war. It would be possible to work with pairs with another volunteer when delivering in schools if you prefer. Duties would include: *Liaising with schools in an identified area and actively promoting the WOW team *Dealing with enquiries from local groups and schools *Making bookings and organising your diary *Visitschools to deliver activities and resources to groups of school children *Ensuring activities are carried out safely and are engaging *Update risk assessments on the day
