Right up and down the country, hundreds of people are taking part in the annual British Waaterways Towpath Tidy, in an effort to get the canals looking good for spring. Jobs include litterbusting, painting, managing vegetation and fixing vandalised part - together we want to make every towpath a better place to walk or just hang out for all the local residents and for people like you who might be passing through. It'll also be a great opportunity to socialise, discover a place you might never have gone to otherwise, and to spot some gorgeous spring wildlife -
