More info
Working closely with the Volunteer Leader and specialists from rECOrd, the biodiversity information system for Cheshire, Halton, Warrington and Wirral, you will research and create a Spotter’s Guide to Fish in the canals and rivers across the North west. You will help to research what species of fish are most common in our local waterways and create a guide to enable others to record this valuable information and feed it back in to the county database using RODIS. This information will benefit the organisations involved greatly; helping with planning and development, monitoring and conservation of our local fish species. It will also help to build up a true picture of the diverse life-forms that dwell beneath the water! This opportunity involves working with voluntary organisations, local angling societies and members of the public and would be ideal for anyone interested in conservation, ecology and the environment. This is an opportunity to learn new skills, get out in the fresh -
