Using a range of different techniques from angling to net surveys you will help us to gather the in formation we need to provide an assessment of the environmental quality of the waterways in the northwest. Full training will be given to allow you to get out on waterways close to your home and impliment some of the survey techniques to gather the data we need.
suveys of fish species, aquatic invertebrates and vegetation on the bankside will be done, with any results being loaded onto the local record centres database. The information you will gather will feed in to any management plans for the waterways in the future.
