To mark the centenary of the birth of Tom Rolt, co-founder of the Inland Waterways Association (IWA), Waterways Action Squad is teaming up with the IWA and British Waterways. Music-led celebrations will culminate in waterways inspired musical workshops and performances at the IWA’s Tom Rolt Centenary Rally in Chester on 26 and 27 June. We are looking for a small group of young people who would like to take a lead on all aspects of the development and delivery of this project. Supported by the Waterways Action Squad team and the IWA, volunteers’ tasks may include; •Recruiting young musicians to take part •Helping to plan and deliver a series of music workshops in the run up to the event •Helping to organising group visits to key waterways sites •Helping to develop marketing and publicity •Working with other young people to help devise interesting activities on the day •Coordinating drop-in workshops for the rally •Using your knowledge and enthusiasm to create a fun day out! -
