A full or part-time volunteer is needed at The Anderton Boat Lift in Northwich to help organise and deliver education activities and events. British Waterways have an excellent education provision for children aged 7-11 and their teachers, families and group leaders. The Wild over Water (WOW) team teach children to safely explore the canals and rivers of Britain through resources and activities and they need a committed volunteer over the summer months to get involved in all aspects of education on site. Along with organising and delivering activities for children on WOW Wednesdays throughout the summer, you’d also conduct outreach in schools and promote WOW’s activities to them. You’d help to organise a series of activities and recruit and coordinate volunteers for education week. There will also be the opportunity to give your opinion and ideas on making the site and marketing material more child friendly, especially the audio commentary on the trip boat. -
