There are many different views about the care system, but we rarely hear about the experiences of young people who know what it’s really like – the good things as well as what needs to change.

The Who Cares About Care project will create a campaign giving young people with care experience the opportunity to tell the public about their stories.

If you volunteer for this activity you will have an exciting opportunity to make a short film with an experienced film maker. You will learn valuable skills which will look very good on your CV. And, you’ll also have the opportunity to have your say, and to challenge some of the stereotypes!

Movies and films are a powerful way to get across ideas and images. Everyone has a favourite movie, but how many people can say they have created one? With the help of The Who Cares? Trust’s and an experienced film maker, you could add this to your list of accomplishments.

The Who Cares about Care film project aims to change the way society thinks about young people in care.  Volunteers will have the chance to film how they experience their lives in care and show others the truth. They will be able to see what life is life through your eyes.

So, if you have any interest in movies or films, or if you want to tell the world your side of the story about living in care, apply for the film project.
