About Vinspired

You are the heroes.
We just build your tools.

Charity team delivering supplies Volunteers collaborating Group of happy volunteers Community event

Every volunteer who gives an afternoon. Every coordinator who keeps a food bank open. Every teacher who notices the student nobody else noticed. You make the change. Our job is to keep the software out of your way, and to make sure what you did is never lost.

Vinspired is a volunteering platform run by two people in London and the software we build. It began life inside a national charity in 2006. It is a small company now, on purpose.

Our journey

Closed in 2018. Still here in 2026. Here is how, and why there is now a price.

The charity that built this platform helped 1.4 million young people volunteer, then ran out of money. People who could not let it go kept the platform alive. We rebuilt it from scratch in 2023 and kept it free while we did. Read the whole story, the reason we now ask some organisations to pay, and the promises that will not change.

What we believe

Volunteering is life capital.

Proof, not promises

An hour given to a community should count the way a qualification counts: recorded, confirmed by someone accountable, and yours for life. If it cannot be verified, we do not call it verified.

Free for the person, always

Volunteers and young people never pay. The record belongs to the person who earned it.

Built to outlive us

The first Vinspired closed and the record of what young people had done nearly went with it. We build records you can export any day and, in time, check without needing our servers at all.

The people

Two people, ten years with this platform, and a family behind them.

Eser Poyraz, founder of Vinspired

Eser Poyraz

Founder and engineer

Eser joined vInspired as a lead engineer in 2016 and has kept vinspired.com running through every owner since: the charity, the former staff who rescued it, Speakers for Schools, and now his own company. A volunteer himself for years, he believes the people who run non-profits are the real change makers. He still writes most of the code, and he pays for the company by doing other engineering work.

Demet Parlak, Head of Schools at Vinspired

Demet Parlak

Head of Schools

Demet holds a PhD and taught at universities before she joined Vinspired in 2025, as a volunteer, to lead our work with schools. She runs our conversations with schools, the demos and much of the support inbox. If you write to us, there is a good chance Demet is the one who answers.

And our family, who have given more evenings and weekends to this than they signed up for.

More about us

The money, plainly

Free for people. Paid for by the institutions it serves.

Since 2023 Vinspired has earned nothing and paid no salaries. That was fine while we rebuilt, and it is not a plan. The first Vinspired depended on one funder and closed when that funder changed its mind. We will not build the second one the same way. So some organisations will start to pay: a flat annual amount when they run their own programme on Vinspired, while the record level stays free for everyone. No price per volunteer, per pupil or per hour. Nobody loses what they already have.

Volunteers never pay The free level is permanent Never priced per head Nothing deleted for non payment
