Community First Responder

Community First Responders (CFRs) are trained volunteers who respond on behalf of the ambulance service to certain 999 emergencies within their local community. By providing early assessment, basic life support, CPR, and defibrillation where required, CFRs help ensure patients receive vital care as quickly as possible while an ambulance is on its way. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference during some of the most critical moments in a person's life.
