Volunteer Activity/Mentor support for young people and adults at risk of homelessness
At Bearbrook Place we are looking for volunteers to join our team in supporting 36 young people and adults, aged 16-55, who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to equip our residents with the skills and confidence needed for independent living and to prevent future homelessness.

Your Role in Creating Change
What We Do
- Help residents with self-care, education, training, cooking, and budgeting. Collaborate with agencies such as the Substance Misuse Team, MIND, and Building Futures to address individual needs and offer extra support.
How You Can Help:
Offer guidance and be a friend to our residents.
- Share your skills in cooking, budgeting, job prep, exercise, gardening, and more.
- Help connect residents with the resources they need.

What We Need:

- Resilience and flexibility – as our clients have had challenging experiences sometimes it can take them a while to come out of their shell. It may take some time to set up activities effectively but with a bit of time and patience, we are certain this will work well and provide a sense of reward and achievement.

Connection Support provides a breadth of specialist support services to a range of people facing complex life challenges. Our specialist support is tailored around the person and make a difference to their life now but also provides building blocks to help them help themselves in the future.
We provide flexible and tailored support and advice to a range of adults (young and old) and families in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. The support covers housing support, homelessness, isolation, money management, mental health and drug and alcohol abuse. Often service users have multiple issues which means our work with them is all encompassing.
