By providing personalised 1-1 support in basic reading skills, our Volunteer Reading Coaches support the delivery of literacy learning, boosting the confidence of adult learners whilst helping them develop better reading skills and practices, and motivating them to continue with their education.

In our shops you will have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the day-to-day running of the store.
A character is someone to visiting children in hospitals or children with disabilities in the community, as a beloved children's character (think princesses/superheroes) to provide enrichment activities such as a meet and greet or a storytime.
Make a Smile Magic Makers help facilitate Make a Smile events by supporting characters at our visits to hospitals and to children in the community, be it facilitating interactions or running enrichment such as doing magic, arts and crafts or balloon animals!
