The Section Team plans, delivers, and runs quality programmes safely. They make sure all young people can take part in the programme and gain skills for life. They also help young people work towards their Top Awards.
With a brilliant programme, each young person can make a positive impact in society as they step up, speak up, and find their place in the world.

We're Scouts and everyone is welcome here. Every week, we help almost half a million people aged 4-25 develop skills for life. Are you ready to join the adventure?
What are we looking for?
We are looking for those experienced in working with young people who can organise their weekly activities.
Have you got skills and experience working with young people and organising activities for them?
What would you be doing as a volunteer?
The local community needs groups like ours to offer our young people new and exciting opportunities, but we can't do it without you!
We are looking for leaders to help take forward our 3 sections:
- Beavers (aged 6-8)
- Cubs (aged 8-10 1/2)
- Scouts (aged 10 1/2-14)
We have an excellent meeting place and plenty of resources on hand to facilitate activities. We have experienced leaders to support you in the role and lots of training opportunities should you wish to upskill for your own development.

- Welcome young people and families to sessions and events
- Make sure everyone's safe, supported, included and having fun
- Help to plan and lead activities
- Get involved with days out, camps and expeditions
- Share and learn skills – from coding to cake decorating to canoeing
- Celebrate young people's achievements big and small

If you can only occasionally help, that’s OK. Whether you’d like to be an activity planner, tea-maker or craft creator, we appreciate any time you can spare.
All volunteers are offered skills training which is excellent for adding to your CV or job applications.
