Empowering Our 24/24 Participants with a Helping Hand from Procter & Gamble
Giving time to share a skill or teach something new is one of the most rewarding forms of volunteering. Last week, this was evident at our office during a successful day of skills-sharing workshops. The Procter & Gamble Vision Team collaborated with young participants from our 24/24 programme as they planned their social action projects.
This initiative stemmed from P&G’s vision team wanting to volunteer their skills positively with Vinspired. The project management skills they often take for granted were invaluable to the young participants. Additionally, they conducted an engaging session on communication skills.
As graduates, the P&G volunteers provided peer-to-peer support, which was both inspiring and engaging. The workshops were highly successful, with 100% of participants committed to applying their new knowledge to their projects.
Ongoing project support will ensure that these young individuals continue benefiting from the volunteers’ guidance as their projects evolve.
Engaging our corporate supporters in these volunteer opportunities provides young people with essential skills and knowledge, supporting their learning. This is a vital component of our successful partnerships.
The 24/24 programme, chosen for this support, works with some of our hardest-to-reach young people, aiming to enhance their skills and experience towards employment.
We are excited and grateful for P&G’s involvement and look forward to seeing our 24/24 participants thrive as they fulfill their potential.
