Dear Prime Minister,

In the aftermath of the recent riots and public disturbances in London and other cities, we, as leaders of national volunteering organizations, would like to extend our support to you. As the Government examines the causes of these events, we offer our collective expertise to aid in understanding why such actions were taken by young people and to help prevent future occurrences.

Our extensive experience in working with youth and communities can significantly contribute to identifying the root causes and crafting effective solutions. We have partnered with various Government programs at both national and local levels, achieving proven results. We are eager to collaborate with you, your Ministers, and officials in the healing process, ensuring that young people are an integral part of building stronger communities and aiding economic recovery.

While the majority of young people were not involved in these disturbances, they continue to make positive contributions to their communities. Through social media and other platforms, we highlight the commendable work they do daily. Our partnership is committed to aiding local communities in rebuilding pride in their neighborhoods, supported by robust evidence of our successful outcomes.

We are prepared to work alongside you and your Government, focusing on policies and practices that address the societal issues from which these problems emerged. Our ongoing initiatives are geared towards identifying and implementing preventive measures to avoid a recurrence of such events.
