What is the National Citizen Service and How is Vinspired Getting Involved?

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is an innovative government initiative designed to empower young individuals, primarily those aged 16, by offering them a platform to engage in summer residential programs. These programs focus on volunteering, social interaction, skill development, and community service.

Vinspired is collaborating with the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust, local authorities, and further education colleges to execute the pilot project known as the Summer of a Lifetime. This initiative is entirely free and presents a unique opportunity to engage with inspiring athletes, participate in a variety of outdoor activities, and develop essential skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership. Additionally, participants have the chance to initiate social action projects within their communities.
