Primary School Workshop - Physics (Sporadic Meetings for 45 Minutes, Workshops 22/11/24, 11/12/24, & 11/6/25 for 1 Hour):

In this session, myself and a few friends ran a workshop designed for Y5 students, in order to teach them a little bit about Physics.

We created the workshop during several lunchtime sessions. Then, we ran this workshop three times to a group of roughly sixteen Y5 students each time.

Some of the skills gained include teamwork and teaching.

Running Table Tennis Club (45 Minutes per Week, WB 4/11/24, WE 31/3/25):

In this session, I have run table tennis club. I help a range of year groups and abilities learn to play table tennis, and run fun activities and competitions for them to have a go at.

Some of the skills gained include leadership and teaching.

Business Mentoring (45 Minutes per Week, WB 24/10/24, WE 6/1/25, Exc. WB 4/11/24):

In this session, I helped a Y11 student who was struggling with his Business GCSE.

Each week, I ran sessions with him, taking him through each topic and giving him activities to complete. These activities will help him build up to the Y11 mocks in January 2025.

Some of the skills gained by the students include independence, hard work, and putting in effort in order to get results.

Independent Learning Volunteer (1 Hour per Fortnight, WB 2/10/24, WE 16/10/24):

In this session, I helped the Y8 students complete a series of Independent lessons, where they undertake independent activities and group projects into the topics of study skills and biomimicry.

I helped the students through their tasks, as well as them feeling supported within the lessons.

Some of the skills gained by the students in this session include independence and teamwork.

Helping with Y10 Mock Interviews (1 Hour on 27/11/24):

In this session, I helped out with the Y10 Mock Interviews.

This involved going to the Y10's classes, in order to bring them to the interviews. As well as this, it involved talking to the Y10s and Business People about their careers.

Some of the skills gained in this session include communication.

A Level Open Evening - DofE: (1 Hour on 13/11/24):

In this session, I helped out with the A Level Opening Evening within the DofE department.

This involved talking to the students and their parents about the positive aspects of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, as well as hopefully convincing them to undertake the award the following year.

Some of the skills gained in this session include communication and marketing skills.

A Level Open Evening - Geography (1 Hour on 13/11/24):

In this session, I helped out with the A Level Opening Evening within the Geography department.

This involved talking to the students and their parents about the positive aspects of the A Level Geography course, as well as hopefully convincing them to undertake the course the following year.

School Tour Guide (1 Hour on 11/11/24):

In this session, I guided a group of three Y5 students, as well as their parents, around the school.

I talked to the students about the different aspects of CFGS, both asking questions to and answering questions from themselves and their parents.

Y8 Dragon’s Den (1 Hour on 11/11/24):

In this session, I helped a group of Y8 students create a business idea in one of 6 possible categories. The students then presented their projects, with a winner chosen.

Some of the skills gained by the students in this session include teamwork, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
