Become an Outreach Volunteer with Connection Support

Do you want to make a tangible difference in the lives of rough sleepers in Buckinghamshire?


Connection Support’s Rough Sleeper Outreach Service is dedicated to helping individuals move beyond street life, providing support to find stable accommodation and access the benefits they deserve. We are currently seeking Outreach Volunteers to join our team and assist our Outreach Support Workers in identifying and verifying rough sleepers.


What We Offer:

  • Impactful Work: Make a significant difference in someone's life by helping them transition off the streets.
  • Training & Support: We provide all necessary training, health and safety measures, and cover all expenses.
  • Team Environment: Work alongside a dedicated team in a supportive and respectful environment.

Role Details:

  • Commitment: 2-3 hours per week, starting at 5/6am.
  • Responsibilities: Accompany Outreach Support Workers, help identify and verify rough sleepers, maintain client confidentiality, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Requirements: Non-judgmental, reliable, trustworthy, and able to work as part of a team. No prior experience needed!

Additional Information:

  • Volunteer Screening: Becoming a volunteer with Connection Support is subject to references and DBS checks.

The support covers housing support, homelessness, isolation, money management, mental health and drug and alcohol abuse. Often service users have multiple issues which means our work with them is all encompassing.
