Young People Give Their Views to Riots Panel

On October 24th, the Independent Riots Communities and Victims Panel, established by the government, engaged in an open and honest discussion with young people from Vinspired, Young Advisors, and Catch 22 about the August riots. This initiative highlights the significance of youth volunteering and volunteering for young people to create positive societal change.

Khalid, a former volunteer with Vinspired and now a Detached Youth Worker, expressed how vital it was to voice his opinions on the causes of the riots and the necessary preventive steps. He emphasized the importance of platforms that enable young voices to be heard and influence change. His experience underscores the impact of resilience & staying positive amid challenges, a crucial skill in youth development.

This event also saw participation from young people across the UK, all eager to contribute towards solutions that prevent future unrest. The enthusiasm and insights shared by these young individuals play a pivotal role in civic engagement and tackling issues like homelessness & poverty.
