Your Role in Creating Change

No experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm and energy! Kith & Kids provide you with some really helpful training beforehand and tons of support throughout! Our activities are a chance to get experience for work/studies, meet new people and build new relationships, and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as have fun!Our projects are a chance to get experience for work/studies, meet new people and build new relationships, and develop interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as have fun! We can also provide a reference for up to one year after involvement, and it looks great on your CV! We need volunteers to help our members have a summer they will not forget at our action packed summer camp! You will be supporting children and young adults with learning disabilities take part in lots of exciting camp activities such as campfires, treasure trails, night time activities, swimming, day trips to the seaside and much more. If you are looking for a rewarding way to end your summer and make a huge impact on somebody’s life, then get in touch or join us for our training (see training details below). No experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm and energy! Kith & Kids provide you with some really helpful training beforehand and tons of support throughout! Volunteers must attend at least two training days: Training session 1: Please attend one of two sessions. Wednesday 6th July, 7pm to 10pm Saturday 9th July, 9.30am to 1.30pm Training session 2: Please attend our Meet & Greet. A great chance to meet the volunteers and some of the members you’ll be working with. Sun 14th August 10am – 4:30pm All training takes place at Ermine Road Day Centre N15 6DB. Camp runs from 21st – 28th August 2016.

Kith and Kids' overall aim is to empower families living with disability to overcome their social isolation and access the services they need.


Kith and Kids supports its members who have a disability by providing effective projects and services tailored to individual needs.


Originally a self help group started by two families, Kith and Kids is now in its 40th year and excels in providing support, activities and a common meeting ground for families who have a person with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities to share experiences and support each other.


With the tremendous input from hundreds of volunteers, experienced staff, members and their families - Kith and Kids continues to maintain its pioneering spirit in the field of learning disabilities and make positive differences to the lives of a growing number of children and young adults.
