Let's Talk About Loss - Volunteer Host for monthly Online Meet Up for young grievers aged 18-35

We're looking for passionate individuals to help support young adults through grief. If you're aged 18-35, have been bereaved for at least a year, and want to make a difference, consider becoming a Meet Up Host. We need Hosts in several locations across the UK and online who can commit to 1 year, are empathetic, organised, reliable and good communicators.

About this Opportunity

As a volunteer Host you will:
  • Organise and facilitate a monthly online peer-led meet up on Zoom to provide a space for young grievers aged 18-35 to talk about loss.
  • Create an online space with your Co-Host/s that is safe, supportive, open and empowering (training is provided).
  • Ensure the meet up is accessible and appropriate.
  • Facilitate conversations about grief during the meet up.
  • Be the admin of a Facebook group for your meet up to promote up-coming events. 
  • Access a gmail account for your group where you can reply to any enquiries that come in for your meet up.
  • Complete safeguarding training and follow the process if a concern is raised.
  • Send your Host Co-ordinator updates on your meet up, and contact them for support with running your meet up.

Our vision is that no young griever grieves alone, and we offer peer-led meet ups across the UK and online, a blog with advice/tips, and events & campaigns to tackle the taboo of grief across the UK.Our mission is uniting young grievers as one safe, supportive community; Putting words to feelings so that people can express their grief; Raising awareness of grief across society and tackling taboos.
