Our Organisation  

Mighty Girls CIC is a social enterprise based near Bath.  We exist to celebrate each girl's uniqueness, build self-belief, and inspire girls via our activities and events. Our workshops, school sessions and creative events empower girls to dream big, break barriers, and grow into confident, authentic individuals. 


We run inclusive programmes such as: 

  • Positive Relationships – promoting respectful relationships in schools 
  • Body Positive  - art and photography to breakdown & question gender stereotypes 
  • Youth Leadership – volunteering and work experience opportunities 
  • Holiday activities, days out & mentoring opportunities 


Our work is shaped by values of empowerment, diversity, creativity, and belonging.  We are especially passionate about supporting young people, underrepresented voices, and those with lived experience. 


The Role 

We are in a period of growth and development and seek support as a developing small & medium enterprise (SME). 

As a Non-Executive board advisor, you will help guide the strategic direction and governance of Mighty Girls CIC. You’ll be part of a passionate team committed to creating safe, inspiring spaces for girls and young women. 


Key responsibilities: 

  • Attend board meetings (every 6–8 weeks, online or in person) 
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making 
  • Support fundraising, partnerships, and community outreach 
  • Ensure compliance with CIC governance and ethical standards 
  • Act as a role model and ambassador for our mission 

 
Time commitment will be approximately 1 day per month.  This is an unpaid role, but reasonable expenses will be covered. 


We welcome applications from individuals who share our passion for girls’ empowerment, creative education, and inclusive leadership. Currently our organisation needs support f (SME) in a period of growth and development.  We need particular assistance from people with experience in the following areas:  


  • Finance, legal, or governance 

Business development 

Lived experience relevant to our mission

No prior board experience is needed – just commitment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
