Walk For A Cure is an brand new event for everyone impacted by dementia. A cure is within our grasp, together we can make it happen. In supporting this event, volunteers will be creating a platform through which friends & family can gather, share and make a lasting difference to dementia for future generations. Roles include: Greeter, Marshal and Event Village Helper.

As an Independent Life Skills volunteer, you will be supporting the delivery of our Lifewise Programme. This role will focus on cooking and we need a volunteer to work with the young people to help them choose what meals to make, supervise and assist with the cooking, plating up the food and then also with washing and tidying up afterwards.

Centrepoint Helpline is a national helpline which provides information and advice to under 25’s who are homeless or at risk of homeless. The Drinks’ Trolley at St Joseph’s Hospices visits our wards twice a day to offer patients free alcoholic/soft refreshments & chatting to patients, family & friends.

Our Pick and Pack team are based in one of our lively baby banks. Together we sort, check, and prepare pre-loved items for children. Volunteers create high-quality bundles of toys, clothes, and equipment to gift to families. “You can’t imagine the happiness I saw on my little girl’s face when she opened box. She found beautiful outfits, books and toys. I’m forever grateful to people who put it together”
