The purpose of Islington Bereavement Service is to offer emotional, social and practical support to bereaved adults living in Islington.

We are looking for volunteers to visit patients on the wards to offer meaningful sensory activities including hand massage, reminiscence, memory boxes, reading, music and company.

The Drinks’ Trolley at St Joseph’s Hospices visits our wards twice a day to offer patients free alcoholic/soft refreshments & chatting to patients, family & friends.

Our Pick and Pack team are based in one of our lively baby banks. Together we sort, check, and prepare pre-loved items for children. Volunteers create high-quality bundles of toys, clothes, and equipment to gift to families. “You can’t imagine the happiness I saw on my little girl’s face when she opened box.
