Cancer charity Walk the Walk is on the lookout for incredible Volunteers to support the ICONIC MoonWalk London! Could you spare some time on May 16th or 17th 2026 to cheer on and assist our dedicated Walkers as they take on an epic overnight challenge to raise vital funds to provide both emotional and physical care for those living with, or undergoing treatment for an important cause?

Thousands of runners will be taking part, and Cancer Research UK needs more friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day a success. Every extra person really does make a genuine difference — both to the runners and to the impact of the event.

The free and award-winning Young Producers programme is open for new applications from young people aged between 16-25, including a new group at Redcar’s Kirkleatham Museum. This programme offers young people the chance to programme their own events and exhibitions at Tees Valley Museums, influence and feedback about the services museums provide.

In 2026, more than 300 runners are donning their Teenage Cancer Trust shirts and taking on 26.2 miles to raise funds for young people with cancer. Could you help to celebrate and encourage them by helping us make some noise at our cheer points along the route? Please note that our three cheer point locations will not be confirmed until early in 2026. Please put your preference of volunteer role. Once the cheer points locations have been announced we will be in touch to ask for your preference. If you chose post-race the above will not apply.
