About Us
Abbeyfield is a charity for older people providing housing across the UK and internationally. It is our mission to enhance the quality of life for older people through high quality accommodation in a stimulating environment to maintain a socially active life.
We offer a range of volunteering opportunities e.g. Befriender, Activities Assistant, Gardening Volunteer, Meal Times Volunteer and Digital Inclusion Volunteer.
We arrange a number of seasonal events in our houses including summer fetes and Christmas activities, all of which involve local volunteers.

Volunteer Gardener
• Do you want to improve the lives of older people? • Do you love gardening? • Do you have a couple of hours a week to spare? This role involves maintaining and tending to the garden for the residents to enjoy. This may involve trimming hedges, weeding, cutting the lawn and helping with whatever is needed.
