Community Resource

Community Resource (formerly known as Shropshire RCC) is a charity committed to making life better for people and communities facing challenges in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. We deliver this work across 3 main areas; Wellbeing & Care, Community & Support and Funding & Advice. We run a number of events across the county for services including Hearing Loss Support, Sight Loss Support, Help to Keep Active, Wellbeing & Care Information Events, Dementia Support groups and training for community and voluntary groups.

We are currently looking to recruit volunteer 'Buddies'.

Buddies should be aged 18 plus and are needed to accompany individuals who may be feeling isolated, alone and lacking in confidence to activities in their local community. These activities could include exercise classes, walking groups, yoga, a coffee and a chat, a trip to the cinema or simply a walk in the park. It is a time limited, flexible project. Appropriate training and a DBS check is arranged for volunteers. All expenses are reimbursed.
