About Us

Fareshare is a national charity facing two of the most urgent issues in the UK – food poverty and food waste. By ensuring good food is not wasted, we turn an environmental problem into a solution, helping to feed thousands of vulnerable people by:

  •  Redistributing surplus, good quality ‘fit for purpose’ food product from the food and drink industry to over 1200 organisations working with disadvantaged people in the community.• Providing vocational training for our volunteers and service users to help them develop new skills and make a fresh start.
  • We have 18 depots across the UK and active volunteering opportunities in each of these areas as well as virtual volunteering...The chances are that there’s something going on somewhere in your community!
  • Over 62,200 people benefit from FareShare food every day.

On 3, 4 and 5 July 2014, we will be holding the fourth Neighbourhood Food Collection with Tesco.
