A Greater Focus on Entrepreneurship is Needed to Tackle Youth Unemployment

As new figures show small signs of abatement in youth unemployment levels, it is crucial that we focus on developing entrepreneurship skills among young people. With over one million youth currently unemployed, we are missing out on a period that could be the most creative and productive of their lives. Instead of waiting for jobs, we must equip them with the skills, confidence, and support necessary to create their own opportunities.

Cultivating Enterprise Skills Among Young People

Young people should not wait for the economy to rebuild. By harnessing their energy, talents, and passions now, we can foster a new generation of entrepreneurs. Offering opportunities for young people to create their own social action projects is key.

Our vInspired Cashpoint programme relaunches to provide young people with funding to deliver community-benefiting projects. Through this initiative, participants gain not only business skills and confidence but also the assurance that they can solve their own problems. By focusing on their strengths and passions, they build a foundation for future employment and skills development.
