An Artistic Journey with Crisis

Recently, our Youth Projects Coordinator took part in a meaningful collaboration with Crisis, a national organization dedicated to addressing homelessness and poverty. The project revolved around creating an art installation, blending creativity and social awareness.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, the team met in Shoreditch, East London, armed with art supplies and an open mind. They explored the vibrant area, drawing inspiration from the local architecture and community. This creative expedition aimed to highlight themes of hidden nature, community, and the socio-economic divide.

Bringing an ‘Alternative’ London to Life

The result was a captivating and immersive installation showcasing an ‘alternative’ London. This project featured unique elements like a make-a-wish tree and a cocktail bar designed to ‘cure’ everyday ailments. It was an interactive experience, inviting the audience to explore and connect with the art.

Members of Crisis performed, many stepping into the spotlight for the first time, demonstrating the power of creativity and innovation.
