Welcome to the first blog post from the new Youth Advisory Board for 2011, known as v12. As young volunteers, we are passionate about making a difference and engaging in civic activities that foster teamwork and collaboration.
On the weekend of September 3rd and 4th, we gathered for a residential meeting to get acquainted and share our experiences. It was inspiring to meet like-minded individuals who are equally committed to youth volunteering and civic engagement.
During the weekend, we interacted with the Vinspired team and explored upcoming projects. One exciting initiative is Team v, a perfect opportunity for those aged 18 to 25 to get involved in impactful volunteer work.
Our team building activities included a fun exploration of London, where we combined sightseeing with collaboration tasks. This experience not only strengthened our teamwork skills but also was a creative way to engage with the city.
The v12 group is already buzzing with ideas and actively participating in ongoing projects. We are grateful to last year’s v20 team for their guidance and support, which has been invaluable as we embark on this journey.
As we sign off, remember this: “We volunteer not to be praised, but to share our passion and love for helping.” If you’re interested in joining us, check out our Youth Advisory Board: Working on Teamv and Introducing the new Youth Advisory Board for more details.
