Apologies for the delay in this update. Mock exams and coursework had me occupied, but I’m back, ready to share exciting news!

On Tuesday, November 15th, we celebrated the launch of nominations for the Vinspired National Awards. These awards honor the incredible contributions made by England’s young volunteers to their communities, peers, and the planet.

I, along with other passionate members from Vinspired, joined forces with BiggaFish in Shoreditch. Meeting with BiggaFish volunteers, we discussed their various projects and the impactful work they undertake. It was refreshing to witness such enthusiastic engagement in volunteering.

BiggaFish is a dynamic platform focusing on youth enterprise and urban live music, supported by Vinspired. Having experienced their past events, I can attest to the dedication of their volunteers.

During the event, I made my first on-screen appearance, hosting videos featuring interviews with Tinchy Stryder and BiggaFish volunteers. After numerous retakes and sandwiches, we successfully completed filming, now available for viewing here.

Tinchy Stryder arrived modestly, engaging with volunteers on topics like the London riots, his achievements, and volunteering. He was later interviewed by Lucrezia Millarini from London Tonight, showcasing her natural interviewing skills. Lorna, Vinspired’s Head of Marketing, also made her debut, highlighting the awards’ objectives and benefits.

The event was a fantastic experience, providing a welcome break from academic stress while witnessing the culmination of hard work by Vinspired and BiggaFish teams.

The enthusiasm generated by the event has been overwhelming. So, to ensure everyone gets a chance to nominate deserving young volunteers, the deadline has been extended to midnight on Monday, December 5th. Don’t miss your chance to nominate!

What's Changed Since Then
