Oh, What a Night (and Day)!

Last Thursday, the Vinspired team traded their usual desks for a day of environmental volunteering at Camley Street Natural Park in King’s Cross. Equipped with slacks and hiking boots, we spent the morning mulching, weeding, and tempering the community garden. A hearty lunch fueled our creativity as we painted inspirational quotes to adorn the garden.

In the evening, we transformed from gardeners to party-goers, attending the Vinspired Lake of Stars Fundraiser gig at Union Chapel in Islington. This fundraising event featured performances by Tinashe and the Noisettes, showcasing the power of volunteer-driven events. The gig supported the Lake of Stars music festival in Malawi, highlighting the incredible impact of volunteers in arts and culture.

The evening was a testament to what volunteers can achieve. Tinashe captivated the audience with tracks from his new album “Saved,” followed by the Noisettes, whose powerful performance resonated through the chapel’s acoustics. The entire event, organized by volunteers, emphasized teamwork, creativity, and community impact in arts and culture.
