Vinspired Showcases Private Sector Philanthropy
Vinspired has successfully raised over £100 million with the private sector in the past four years to support young volunteers. This remarkable achievement was celebrated during a unique evening event titled “Crunch Time?” as part of the Vinspired Match Fund. This initiative allows private investments in youth volunteering to be matched pound for pound, effectively doubling the impact of philanthropy.
Hosted by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the event was introduced by Miles Templeman, Director-General of the Institute of Directors, and Vinspired’s Chief Executive. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of keeping young people engaged in society to develop essential leadership and employability skills. She highlighted the precarious economic, environmental, and political positions young people face today.
Corporate partners such as Nike, ITV, BP, Coca-Cola, npower, and Global Radio joined the event, showcasing flagship programs and the powerful partnerships Vinspired has cultivated between government, businesses, and various organizations. The evening was an excellent opportunity for young people to share the impact of their projects on themselves and their communities.
Vinspired has demonstrated an impressive ability to work with businesses, channeling their CSR budgets into projects aligned with company values while offering unique opportunities for young people aged 16─25 to address issues important to them and their communities.
