Meet Louis Eloi
Louis Eloi, the proud recipient of the v100 award, has been recognized for his exceptional commitment to volunteering across multiple youth services in Shipley. Louis’s work reflects his passion for youth development and his dedication to creating a positive impact in his community.

“Louis has played a crucial role in planning and delivering district-wide events, positively impacting some of the most economically challenged areas in Bradford and beyond. He has been instrumental in recruiting for and increasing membership at all the youth clubs he volunteers with.”

Q: How does it feel to be our Volunteer of the Month?
A: “It’s an incredible feeling to have my efforts recognized. Winning this award is something I never imagined possible.”
Q: Tell us about your volunteering activities.
A: “I volunteer at Highcroft Youth Centre, Bingley Inclusion, Bingley Youth Cafe, Shipley Youth Café, and a youth group at Shipley College. My volunteering involves safeguarding young people and engaging with them during group sessions. Additionally, I campaign to save the youth service, advocating its importance to local councillors.”
Q: What’s been your most memorable volunteer moment?
A: “One of the most surprising moments was receiving a birthday card filled with heartfelt messages from staff and service users.”
Q: What skills have you gained through volunteering?
A: “I’ve acquired skills in safeguarding, youth policy understanding, and cyber awareness. Volunteering has equipped me with leadership and empathy skills.”
Louis’s Future Aspirations
Initially volunteering in his spare time, Louis discovered a passion for youth work. His goal is to pursue a career in this field, leveraging his understanding of the challenges faced by young people.
He believes that the youth service is crucial in unlocking the potential of young individuals, a conviction he hopes to demonstrate through his Vinspired award.
