About Me
I am genuinely passionate about volunteering in mental health support roles because it aligns with my personal values and career goals. As a third-year Psychology and Counselling student, I’ve gained a solid foundation in counselling concepts and practical skills, and I’m eager to put what I’ve learned into practice. My own experiences with mental health challenges, and the incredible support I received during those times, inspire me to give back and offer others the same kind of empathy and understanding that helped me.
Volunteering is an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. It allows me to refine skills like active listening, communication, and reflective practice while making a real difference in people’s lives. I’m organised, adaptable, and genuinely care about creating a safe, non-judgmental space for others. Most importantly, I’m passionate about breaking down the stigma around mental health and supporting people on their journey to wellness.
