My Impact Journey

St Dunstan's College

St Dunstan's College Internal Volunteering Opportunities

Continuing the creation of a presentation on the Libet Study for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by continuing the creation of a presentation on the Libet Study for their Psychology Society. Building upon my previous work, I researched further information about the study (such as replications) on the BPS’s website, and designed the PowerPoint to ensure information was presented clearly, and in an engaging manner. By the end of this volunteering session, I successfully created the presentation, ready to be presented in a future Psychology Society club meeting.

Creating a presentation on the Libet Study for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by creating a presentation on the Libet Study for their Psychology Society. This involved watching a variety of videos on YouTube about the study and transferring this information onto a PowerPoint presentation. By the end of the volunteering session, I had successfully compiled information about the Libet Study itself onto a PowerPoint presentation.

Continuing to animate case studies for the sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder presentation for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by finishing the final case study on sociopathy, psychopathy, and antisocial personality disorder by adding subtitles to it. I added this animation to the PowerPoint presentation created for the department’s Psychology Society, finalising the presentation so that it can be presented in a future club meeting.

Continuing to animate case studies for the sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder presentation for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by spending almost the entire day animating case studies for the presentation on sociopathy, psychopathy, and antisocial personality disorder. By the end of this volunteering session, I had successfully finished the animation of 5 case studies, and subtitling 4 of these. These 4 were put into the PowerPoint presentation to allow the Psychology Department to later be able to present this for their Psychology Society.

Animating case studies for the sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder presentation for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by animating case studies for their presentation on sociopathy, psychopathy, and antisocial personality disorder. This involved finding and learning how to use a ‘text-to-speech' converter to read the scripts aloud, re-learning how to use Wick Editor to animate the case study, finding pictograms to put in the animation, and re-learning how to use Subtitle Edit to add subtitles to the animation. By the end of this volunteering session, I had created the first draft of one case study for the presentation.

Drafting scripts for case studies on sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder for the Psychology Society presentation.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by building upon the presentation I created for their Psychology Society – During this volunteering session, I began drafting the scripts for case studies of psychopaths, sociopaths and individuals with antisocial personality disorder, some of which were based on real life examples (such as the ‘successful psychopath’ described by Dr. Todd Grande: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR0BHqHirCQ) whereas others were based on the symptoms list. This would ensure that the presentation I created for Psychology Society was of a high quality and interactive.

Creating a PowerPoint on sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by transferring my research on sociopathy, psychopathy, and antisocial personality disorder into a PowerPoint format. As part of this, I ensured the presentation was visually appealing, particularly by utilising the ‘morph’ transition between slides to engage the audience.

Continuing the research on sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by continuing my research on sociopathy, psychopathy, and antisocial personality disorder. This extra research ensured that the presentation created for the psychology society included high quality information, reflecting the broad range of findings around the topic, such as the relationship between psychopathy and emotional intelligence.

Researching sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder for Psychology Society.
I volunteered my time to support the school’s Psychology Department by researching sociopathy, psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder to create a presentation for their psychology society. This involved watching various videos on the topic, particularly ones by Dr. Todd Grande, and collating these notes in a Word Document to ensure the presentation was informative.

Researching forensic psychology for Psychology Society.
I aided the school's Psychology Department by finding videos to help ensure one of their presentations on Forensic Psychology for their Psychology Society would have enough content to last the entire club meeting. After a lot of searching to ensure the video was of high enough quality and not boring, I managed to find a video on the 'Reid Technique', which was easily pausable, so club members can be invited to offer insights on what has been said, and lasted approximately 20 minutes, so that it would be able to fit within the time length of the club meeting.
