Your Role in Creating Change

With over 400,000 members in the UK, Scouting is the largest mixed youth organisation in the country. Scouting in the UK is organised through The Scout Association. Its purpose is to help young people, aged 6-25 years old, achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
Our sections vary in age with opportunities to help organise and lead fun activities for 4-6yrs, 6-8yrs, 8-10yrs, 10-14 yrs and 14-18yrs. Groups usually meet weekly and are run exclusively by volunteers who as a team plan and deliver fantastic experiences and opportunities to young people.
Opportunities for those aged 15-17yrs to gain experience with younger sections exist through our "Young Leader Scheme".
Adult volunteers (18+) must follow the policies of The Scout Association, which can be found on our webpage: www.scouts.org.uk.

About Scouts: 3rd Washington (HLS District)

3rd Washington Scouts prepare young people with skills for life. We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more.

Each week we help nearly 100 young people aged 4 - 18 enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.
