Your Role in Creating Change
Work to migrate and integrate charity management systems for a very small charity. You will get lots of latitude to innovate and come up with your own ideas.
We use, or aim to use, industry standard practices for the management of develop our systems including git, a CI/CD pipeline, separate dev, test, live, etc...
But more importantly, you'll be helping us manage our business so we can create a calm, welcoming environment where we can serve a totally free three course meal to anyone who needs it.
When you volunteer with Community Kitchen, you join a completely volunteer-led charity - we have no paid staff - so when we say it's your community kitchen, we really mean it.
We serve up to 80 three course meals in one sitting and all of our volunteer roles are busy and well organised - this is no exception. If this sounds like your thing, why not give us a try.
There is one additional requirement... you will need to volunteer periodically as a Host for Community Kitchen in addition to this Software Dev/IT role to ensure you fully understand our organisation. Everyone starts as a Host or Cooking volunteer in Community Kitchen!
